I highly recommend this movie . . .

First, I have to say this is just my opinion. As a huge fan of asian horror movies, Princess Aurora is absolutely among my favorites and absolutely tore my heart out. The acting is great, esp. the main female character. At first, I thought it was just going to be another horror revenge movie. But towards the end, I realized this movie had emotion and meaning. I cannot say how this movie ends because I do not want to spoil the surprise. But I can say I cried towards the end (many of you will understand what part), and I still cry when I watch it. Not everyone will enjoy this movie, but I highly recommend it if you enjoy asian horror. I will say, as a mother, I cannot blame why this woman chose to kill who she killed. My heart went out to her and I LOVED the ending. In the end, this was a beautifully done movie with meaning. Again, this is just my opinion.

I was lucky enough to catch it on sundance a few hours ago, honestly..i've never felt so heartbroken. I loved the leading lady, and my heart truly ached for her and for her reason for revenge. I was horrified with what she did to those people, i was jumping at parts, but afterwards you kind of nod your head to her and think "Yeah, they had it coming." Everything that happened in the movie could have been avoided if everyone had been a little more responsible,especially the victims...you'd think someone would know better than to just do that to someone so helpless.. I think it's a cautionary tale in some way. Truly great filmaking.

JaneyJkitty - I completely agree. I guess it's my "motherly instinct" that makes me hurt for her. Everyone in this movie did an incredible job, esp. the main character. Her hurt seemed so real. I've seen this movie several times, but I could watch it over and over and still feel heartbroken for her.

I was almost a mother...so i feel for her as well. i have to own this movie, i'm going to try and find it. I wonder what other movie the mother is in, she's a good actress, really felt for her in this film.

JaneyJkitty - I think I bought mine off amazon, but to search for it, you might have to look for the korean name (Orora gongu), not "Princess Aurora" (took me forever to find it lol). Also, you might check to make sure your dvd player is a multi-regional player (or at least will play the region the dvd is). Luckily, I have a multi-regional dvd player so I didn't have a problem playing the dvd, but the movie wouldn't play on my cousin's dvd player (his wasn't multi-regional). You can either google your dvd player to check or check the manual it came with. Good Luck!

I don't know if you'll ever even see this after all this time, but just in case you check back... her name is Uhm Jung Hwa (Uhm is her last name -- her brother, who is also a star of movies and TV, spells it 'Eom'); she is a well-known actress-singer-dancer in South Korea and she has been in a number of popular movies. I found her work in the romantic comedies "Singles" and "All for Love" particulary effective and hilarious; if you're interested in her more dramatic roles, "Best Seller" is a nice dark turn (as another obsessed mother) in a psychological horror story. Anyway, just search under her name for more info. Good luck!

one of the great revenge movies and not the typical movie... THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST UNDER RATED Movie. Thumbs up for the team who made this movie especially the main actress. she amazingly deliver the whole story.. 10.9/10 PS. I just saw another trailer of her newest movie entitled BESTSELLER. a thriller suspense movie. she was so amazing there. I am going to watch it ^_^

ramboswrath - I completely agree! This is definitely one of the BEST movies I've ever watched & I'd never heard of it before. This is one that I could watch over and over and react the same way. All of the actors did an incredible job, but she did an amazing job, one that deserved several awards imo.

Thanks for letting me know about her newest movie. I'd never heard of that one either, so I'll have to check it out. I'm always on the lookout for a good revenge flick!
