DEFINITELY "Picnic at Hanging Rock", especially if you are into the whole moody-Victorian thing. I personally love that film, and it looks like it had a rather large influence over the tone of "Lying". "The Virgin Suicides" is also similar in its dark, feminine dreaminess; another really good film. "Lying" is very much the least clear-cut of all these films in terms of plot, though; "Picnic" and "Virgin Suicides" both have solid story lines, whereas "Lying" does not.

For some reason Old Joy came to mind although it's pretty different than this film storywise.
