Watching this right now with my 5 year old daughter...it's no wonder that we watched animation from the 60s when we were kids (in the 80s) and still do today. This is awful.

I KNOW that modern animation is capable of producing quality programs. So what happened here? In all honesty, the original Frosty the Snowman from 1969 is no gem...I tried watching it recently, and it was...not what I remembered from my childhood. BUT...given the time constraints of a 20 minute special, it at least kept things simple and didn't force a bunch of obnoxious kids (and adults...especially adults) on us.

The character designs were the worst part for me. So generic and angular and ugly. At least they didn't change the look of Frosty from the classic special.
