Galway Film Festival

This movie was first screened at the Galway Film Fleagh. Has anyone out there seen it? How was it?

reply

I don't know, but I was in it! I was an extra as a Special Branch man. It premieres on 25th in Dublin, then on release. I can hardly wait. Funny though that there hasn't been a single review as yet.

Have you seen the trailer or visited the web site www.thefrontlinemovie.com.? It looks great!

reply

Yes; saw the trailer. It looks good.
Unfortunately, however, it looks as if the promotion in Ireland has not been good enough. News about this fairly major movie should be splashed all over the papers.

Do you live in Dublin? Poster for this film is plastered all over the city. There's a trailer on TV and film's advertised on radio too. Couldn't open a paper this weekend without reading about it. I'd say promo was actually very good!

That`s interesting. I have been out of the country since just before Dublin premiere. Up to that point there was nothing at all, as far as I could see. I`d have expected some reviews/publicity after the Galway premiere, but nothing! That`s a pity. I believe promo usually has an impact long before release. In phone calls home to my family, they hadn`t heard of it. Also there is no poster here on the the IMDB for the movie. I`m disappointed for the people who put so much work into it. Oh well.

Hello

Have just watched this film got it on Amazon. Not that good in my estimation. I am a James Frain fan having just been in New York and seen him in the Homecoming his Broadway debut. His Irish accent is not believable and the story was convulted. A lot of unknowns mainly African actors who were the best in it. James Frain will have to work on his bad guy characters and he needs a few lessons from John Malkovich for a start!
