I read through all the posts I thought would be relevant to my question and it seems that a lot of stupid questions are asked and people here are tired of them lol. But I could not find an answer to my question (or I'm not correctly putting the pieces together, which is possible because I'm quite sleepy hehe)

Anyway, how does the money end up with the girl? I read one answer that it was because Charlie switched them in the police station but Gus took it and opened it and was not angry, meaning it must have still been money. Is there something I'm missing/overlooking? Thanks for any help!

I personally believe that Gus smiled because Charlie got one over on him. I think it, in a small way, Gus' redemption. Charlie swapped out the cash with his daughter's toys at the police station, easy to miss though.
