theory (+ spoiler) about ending (+ fictional spoilers xD)

Notice how she didn't check if the woman head-axed was actually dead...
Notice how she could have simply faked drinking ... & just lied about having 2 flasks... (or...1 for the "nice dude" & 1 for the Oregon killer as mentioned by another poster)
Notice how when the "hero" (Charlie was it?) drinks from it he overplays a mega-sip, & mimic the exact same reaction as the girl when she faked ?

...Then either she just left out of sheer frustration or he could have disarmed her & let her run away (hint: scene when he fights/plays with his daughter & subdue/cover her /w leaves)... & then he makes it back home, to explain everything to his wife & come up with a good cover story ( while the daughter wakes up early 2 play with the banknotes on a sunny morning)...

Not that i care much, but the ending is left to the viewers imagination & it bothers me seeing many "binary" people (no offense) choosing 1 side over another for dubious reasons... (he was not such a bad guy after all, he bonded with Gus, who also was no killer (when asked, if he ever did conceal a body b4, he answers never, the Eye calls him a small time crook etc..))

They then give the money as evidence or to charities, when he gets the message of his book published... & they live a happy life, flowering Gus's tomb in Las Vegas on holidays...

Also i ' d like to see a sequel involving the story between the girl & the Oregon killer, she seemed clever & with some back-story & character development she could easily pass as a sort of vengeful & twisted justice bringer.

Or a spin where convinced that his wife will never forgive him, he, after faking his death, go back to his house with the girl, steals back the money & his daughter & on his way out hears the message of his book being published, feels remorseful & decide to stay anyway (hoping he could provide by writing from jail), infuriating the girl that gets then arrested by the cop-woman who explains that all is forgiven but they have to make her (the black widow girl) responsible for everything, she ends up in a woman prison where she turns lesbian & plans a breakout with her cellmate & then plot a revenge against the cop-wife & her husband who since forgot almost everything about all this, & doesn't believe his wife's "elucubrations" etc etc...

...Or they all die , the cop-wife kills herself over guilt for covering up for the husband, after the daughter is ran over by a truck loaded with illegal chemicals that spills & poison the town's water supply turning it into a desert city, forcing the call-center to relocate to Ireland where the poor working conditions create social tensions that lead to the reelection of M.Thatcher which triggers another financial crisis that makes Europe slumber in a modern Dark age where people turn into zombies & .....

It's called an open-ending, use your imagination instead of deciding over the possible fate of 1 protagonist like youse were ancient Romans @ the gladiators games... or like you wanted a final twist so bad that you miss Usual Suspects, Fight Club, Vanilla Sky & 6th sense every time you go watch or make a movie...

In the real world the truth is often very difficult to find & hardly ever just come out of the blue after 90mns of ...contemplation, or out of the mind of the majority. Don't be molded pls. Don't be the same mold all your life either. Or don't even be a mold, ever. (/patronizing off)
