Sex Scenes??? - Big Nothing (2006) Discussion

There's a brief sex scene with Gus and whats-her-face, but it's not explicit. You see her on top of him for a couple of seconds. There's also a couple of shots of a tied-up woman on a dvd they find.

oh jeez... there's always one.
1) Nothing is seen that says anyone was raped.
2) Nothing suggests that this was anything other than an pornographic movie.
3) Only from the character dialogue do we know that the female may have been killed on the tape (references to a "snuff" film)
4) The only "sex" displayed in that particular scene is a female obviously over-acting. If she had actually been in the process of being raped, her reaction would have been noticibly more dramatic.

It's a dark comedy, granted. But, it's not *that* dark.

^^This. LOL, seriously is the truth. There's only one sex scene in the film but there's a lot of violence and strong language, while it didn't bother me at all, it's pretty inappropiate for young children.

Put it this way - I wouldn't watch it with my 14 year old.......however, should she choose to watch it with friends, that would be up to her. The sex scenes don't 'show' anything in particular but there's a scene where they watch a DVD and it could be a bit shocking, if you knew what type of film it was portraying (if you didn't then it may not be so bad). The other one didn't show anything but did suggest strongly - so if you have conservative views you may not like it.

There is one bit where you probably don't want to have the volume too loud with people in another room, since it cuts to a sex scene with loud moaning without any warning. I hate when they do that, I think it's ridiculous.
