Just Couldn't Get Into This One!!

It was enjoyable,but semed very rushed (as did Long Way Round,including the 10 episode version) just too much going on and too little time to fit it in. I really couldn't get into this one.

Also as with LWR,it seems their is way too much footage then their needs to be on the preperation,than not enough of the actual race itself!!

I also didn't find the language even remotley as bad as some are making it out to be!! Yes,they all curse,but being in a race like the Dakar,you would too.

Hopefully someday this and LWR will get the proper Director's Cut,with MANY more hours of footage.

I agree that it would be awesome to have more footage overall of the whole race to dakar experience. However IMHO the first episodes of getting everything ready and the bikes kitted out is a great part of the series and is an integral part of the trip. Therefore I thought the preparation footage warranted the lengthy airtime. As for the cursing, well come on! It is one of the hardest races, putting an enormous amount of pressure on the competitors to finish and survive let alone win. To edit out all of the swearing and emotional outbursts would have been severely detrimental to the immersive experience of the whole show.
