The Reynholm bosses and the finale...

I just finished the series and I really liked it. I loved each of the characters in the IT department and truly couldn't get enough of them!

I'm pretty sure I'll be in the minority here but I did not like either of the Reynholm bosses. They added nothing to the show, IMO. The first one (can't remember his name) was not funny at all, just annoying. Douglas did have his funny moments but I wish they would have limited his scenes. Some episodes revolved completely around him and I just couldn't enjoy them.

I was drawn into the show because of the IT department. I kept watching the show because of the characters and hilarious moments between them. I didn't care at all about the bosses or their personal problems.

I was very very disappointed with the finale. Again, an episode focusing on Douglas. Yes, the end brought them together, mostly with Jen's speech about the company being a family but overall it was a big let down for me. I wish there would have been some sort of feeling of closure, surprise or SOMETHING that made it feel like a special episode.

Most people.I know loved them, the 2nd guys thought was hilarious but each to his own I guess

I assume the last episode you watched was Reynholm vs Reynholm (Season 4, Episode 6)? Because the last episode is actually 'The Internet is Coming' aka The Last Byte(Season 5, Episode 1) which focuses mainly on the group, even though there is a fair amount of Douglas. This was filmed to be the finale three years after the last full season.

For some reason Netflix doesn't carry this episode, though you can find it on Youtube and Hulu for a better quality version. It's a pretty good ending if I do say so myself.

I didn't really care for either of them either. But I came back and re-watched the show about four years after I originally watched it and I found the second Reynholm to be much funnier this time around.

Thanks for the replies. You all were right! I just watched the series again and finally saw the actual finale 'The Internet is Coming.' Douglas was definitely funnier the second time around and I was completely satisfied with the finale. Great end to a great show!

I liked the Reynholm bosses, they made me laugh a bit, especially Douglas. Some of the jokes were hit and miss though. My favourite moments usually involved Jen, Moss, Richmond, and especially Roy. His "I'm disabled" act had me laughing so hard!
