Funniest moment?

What do you consider the funniest moment/situation out of all the episodes? For me it's when Moss throws the coffee to Roy thinking it's empty for a joke when it isn't, followed closely by the Gay musical.

reply

When Roy is being elevated to the bus while he's in a wheel chair and also in the same episode Jen sees Roy in the wheelchair and goes to the bar to get a drink and Moss is the one who's bartending.

reply

Ohhh and when the guys say Jen's date look like a magician and they cut to the guys face lol...I had to rewind it see that part again.

reply

When Jen tells 'The News' to let her in.

"No talking from things that don't talk!" - Jaye Tyler

reply

lmfao oh my god im reading though what people put and its making me laugh remembering the parts.

I gotta say though, the episode where roy was disabled was just beyond hillarious. Everything about that episode.

Moss getting bullied was so funny too. "its just too real roy!"

What about richardson? He was so great. Too bad he got scurvy. lmao when was the last time anyone even got scurvy?? "An actual Cradle of filth? ew thats horrid"

reply

Can't believe no one's mentioned when everyone thought Jen was dead and the guy is saying how he slept with her, then she "floats" past his office screaming!! I was laughing so hard I had to pause it for a few minutes!

That whole episode is pretty awesome.

They're eating her! And then they're going to eat me! Ohhh myy GAAAAAAAAWWWWD!!!!

reply

For me funniest moment was in the episode when Moss gets a concusion and can't remember anything about computers. He then gets an electric shock from Doug's anti sexism pants, flies across the floor, and as he comes to a stop there is a close up of his face and his eyes slowly open and the windows boot up music plays...

My sides still hurt from laughing at that.

reply

In the Countdown episode where the chap introduces himself to Moss. He's trying to be all mysterious and does that trick where you blow on your fingers and make a business card appear. But he does it so badly that it's hilarious.

Then when he attempts to 'slide' sideways out of the doorway and just ends up shuffling off awkwardly.

Brilliant.

Also: 'I wasn't arksing you, I was arksing him'.

reply

Completely agreed. Unfortunately Roy's plotline (oh no, an ugly woman, how vile!) was pretty tasteless, but Jen's is just -- so well concieved, so perfectly executed. You can really see influence of farce in British comedy.

Why take the escalator when I've got a perfectly good canoe?

that one is sooooooo hilarious, loved it

For me personally, this line right here!

reply

I would agree with the above. i was in tears when roy explains to jen why he is in a wheel chair and jen turns round to get him a drink and moss is there. so funny

"Life's just a bus stop to somewhere infinitely better"

reply

I completely agree with all of you!!

I'm catching up on this series on Netflix and I just finished "The Work Outing" (Gay Musical) episode and I'm crying from laughing so hard. It was seriously the best episode I've seen so far.

"I'm disabled."

reply

Definitely the funniest moment. I nearly burst an internal organ laughing.

reply

Yes the Roy in the wheelchair with Jen being disgusted only to turn to see Moss as the bartender was the best timing.
Also at the end when her date finally admits he's gay but was hoping it would work out with her because he thought she kind of looked like a guy. Lol

Yes, that exact moment - I was already laughing so hard about Roy with his pitiful "I'm disabled," and then when Jen turns to see Moss in his bartender outfit, I just lost it, it was SO funny and the best timed moment ever!

reply

topped off by Moss destroying a pyrmid of glassware behind the bar!

Sallah, I said NO CAMELS. That's FIVE camels. Can't you count?

Yes, I need to rewatch this series again! I can't believe I never heard of it until a few months ago after a co-worker showed me a YouTube clip of it.

reply

This...the lift slowly going up, and then down, and Jen's asking how Roy became disabled (with his silly answers) and then the perfect cut to Moss.

Now when I pass a handicapped bathroom I hear Moss' voice exhorting, "You can't go in there. It's illegal!"

I saw that one twice, and even though I knew what the gags would be, I still laughed out loud, and am smiling now as I think of it.

Genius!

^ those

Roy's face when he was being lifted on the back of the bus was priceless. Then they topped it when the manager rushed out and said "You've all been invited backstage" so Roy had to descend at the same, painfully slow, rate. Brilliant.

reply

mine oddly enough is quite simple. when the bomb squad says the OS is Vista then Moss looks to Roy and says "We're going to die Roy!" for some reason I find that so freaking hilarious.

reply

Probably because its lampooning Vista!

My favourite episode by a long shot is The Work Outing, but my favourite individual scene has to be: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBmN_tisl9M

reply

That killed me.

Where are the GD garden lanterns?

reply

Re: Vista Same goes with getting an iPhone without having to give any money to Apple. "I'd be living the dream." This show is excellent at calling out popular sentiment.

It is so hard to pick an absolute funniest moment as there are so many that are 9.9+

My son loves "I've got a ruddy gun!"

I work in IT, and that is probably my second favorite moment. His delivery of lines is just so perfect.

My favourite episode was the Gay musical. I laughed so much in that episode, I was just crying all the way through it. Especially the songs.

reply

Jen: "OK, Moss, what did you have for breakfast this morning?"

Moss: "Smarties cereal."

Jen: "Oh my God... I didn't even know Smarties made a cereal."

Moss: "They don't. It's just Smarties in a bowl with milk."

I nearly wee'd myself at that last line.

Also,

Moss: "Oh, uh, FOUR! I mean, FIVE! I mean, FIRE!

reply

Yes, that was hilarious - just Smarties in a bowl with milk, OMG, that makes me laugh just thinking it in my head!

reply

The best of the best is possibly the scene with Roy and Moss role-playing as to how to handle bullies in the park.

Others:

News interview about Iraq with Moss. The scene with Roy eating and drinking while the phone is ringing on his desk (especially the moment when he's seemingly grabbing for the phone but actually picking up the cup).

Also the Hitler scene "it was a just a woman... now please come quickly".

"Hot tits" was cool as well.

Not easy to nail it down to one particular scene.

The wheelchair part is my all time favorite scene. Followed by the Denham stress scene. One that hasn't been mentioned is the A-team bit. I found that hilarious!
