I thought for a long time the series ended on a SAD note

That Waterloo Road was closed down and the students moved to Havelock High.

But it turns out that it was the land under Havelock High that was sinking, and with George Windsor blackmailing that loathsome council lady in red because, in his words, the students "got to him", then things turned out for the best, as the council lady in red went back and told the school they could stay open.

So in a way, George Windsor was the biggest hero of the school!
