They should have cancelled it years ago.

I actually grew up with this programme and i don't even pay any attention to the newer ones.
It just seems that they are reusing story lines and using worse characters. Since Micheal became headteacher the Waterloo Road-ness just disintergrated. It felt like a normal school, not a failing one. And then we are told that although the place has stayed open through all the teenage prgnacies, drug addicts, fire and angry parents etc... It is still failing? That made no sense.
Then it moved to Scotland... How pointless was that?? Why didnt they end it before then?? They had already ditched most of the cast by then anyway.
The whole thing has lost that Waterloo Road atmosphere that was once so brilliant. Waterloo Road is a failing school in a disadvantaged area and they fought a steady uphill battle to improve it. Then they moved it to Scotland. It is like a whole different programme. I also think that the older ones from series 1-4/5 were the ones with the right amount of drama to comedy. The newer ones just seem too focused on viewer opinions. It's too clean-cut and doesnt follow the older ones. Theres no grittiness left. Who ever heard of a school moving??

(I think you may have noticed my resentment towards the Scotland move, i really think they should have just ended it there, i really hated that move, it made me realise how many characters had left and how little the progamme had left to offer.)
My little sister loves it and thinks it's amazing, i can't even bare to watch it anymore.
I am sorry about this huge rant but does anyone else agree with me?

The move to Scotland was a misstep but it was accompanied by some appalling writing.

I liked the story where a teacher had an affair with a pupil but on the other hand I hated the let's base every episode on 1 child.
