It's funny how downhill the Disney channel is going. It used to be the best channel with real shows, now it's a bunch of Fantasy crap. Even though I haven't watched Disney for awhile now, seeing as how I'm older, I see all these disney "starlets" on these talk shows talking about their shows on the disney channel. I remember that the most fantasy-like show I would watch was Thats so Raven, and that was as far as I would push it. Now they have all this dumb stuff. I do wish they wouldve aired this show though, seeing as how this was their only hope, Considering Lizzie Mcguire was probably their most popular show, besides this Hannah Montana crap.

but that miley girl is not experienced only had one speaking role before hannah montana so i do not get how she got the lead role

She only got the lead because her father was a famous music artist back in the day. He is also one of the producers of the show, I believe, and also plays her father in the show. It's all because of him, I am sure. I feel bad for some of the disney stars, because they have potential to do great things, but once you're under the Disney eye, it's hard to be taken seriously. I also like Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale, but they're not as great as they could be and I believe it's because Disney is making them look like jokes.

Yes i agree with you on the Ashley Tisdale thing but Vanessa doesnt look like a joke she plays the hot smart girl while Brenda Song and Ashely Tisdale play mean girls

I didn't mean that their roles make them look like jokes, I was meaning them working for disney period. I think they can all do so much better than Disney. I see them working well in Hollywood. Not just Disney Productions.

I totally agree with you, Hannah Montana is Not a good show! When I used to watch Disney Channel there was Even Stevens, Lizzie McGuire, Sister Sister, Boy Meets World, Smart Guy, the Famous Jett Jackson, and Sooo much more!

Those were actually GOOD shows, unlike the crap they play now.

Their T.V. Movies were also soo much better than what they play now. Think Under Wraps, Brink!, Zenon, Smart House, Don't look Under The Bed, Stepsister From Planet Weird, and soo much more until 2005. Then they started putting out all this crap.

I agree Disney was soooo much better back in the day, but it seems like its not just disney but every channel i used to watch, nickelodian got crappy shows remember all that, pete and pete, alex mac, they had good shows, and cartoonnetwork plays the dumbest crap i've ever heard of nowadays what happened to johnny bravo and dexter's lab, cow and chicken. All the channels have gotten sucky shows idk what they're thinkin. I remember Disney used to be my favorite though because they had the best movies and shows, they had variety like the jersey was sports, jett jackson was your action, lizzie mcguire was for the ladies even though i watched it sometimes bc i had a crush on hilary duff, even stevens had your comedy, then you had the first 2 So Weird seasons which had ur mildly spooky fantasy tv I loved that show sooo much I had the biggest crush on Fi i thought she was so pretty now its just the same old crap. They used to have my favorite movies, i would look forward to when the new ones came out i was so excited for stepsister from planet weird and zenon and i loved underwraps they were great movies then they turned sucky. I remember cartoonnetwork made boomerang and nick mad nicktoons network and i was happy to see the classic shows but then they changed and started playing the same stuff that was on the mainstream channel i dont know why they would even have those channels anymore they're the same as the mainstream ones nowaday, LAME.

What happened to these once great networks??? (especially my Disney I loved that channel sooooooo freakin much!!!!!!!)

Actually, Lizzie was the most popular show, until That's So Raven, and then Hannah Montana.

So, most popular shows go:
Hannah Montana
That's So Raven
Lizzie Mcguire

But all the Disney Channel shows owe their existance to Lizzie and Even Stevens, which put the channel on the map, and made room for TSR, which is the prototype for all the new shows...

Also, all the new shows aren't bad, or worse than before. I think part of it is nostalgia. Although, I do wish there were some shows about regular kids, who weren't Wizards, or Rock Stars, or Actors... or on a Sea School....

But I'm 21, and I find the shows enjoyable... I also grew up on Lizzie, Even Stevens, and the later shows like TSR, Phil of the Future (I'm only mentioning Disney Channel originals, because Smart Guy and Sister Sister and Boy Meets World all originally aired on ABC, and not Disney Channel. When those shows came out in the 90s, Disney was a special channel you had to buy, and wasn't on basic cable like it is now, and I certainly watched these shows as a child, before I had Disney Channel.)

My point is, these shows aren't bad; they follow the basic sitcom format... they just don't hold the nostalgia of the old shows.

Now, if you want to get on Nickelodeon... now THAT channel went downhill.
