SERIOUS QUESTION
With the negative reputation that Scientology has, especially with its legal troubles and Lisa McPherson, I wonder if Miscavige has ever considered changing the name of the organization in an effort to somehow distance itself from its past. It might be a way to bring in more people, the ones who would not be inclined to reseach the "new church."
When Scientology moved in to Clearwater, they did it under a different name. So I'm surprised.
I'm guessing pride might have something to do with it.
Anyone?
