Not actually a cooking show

I know they cook on this show, but this show is so shamelessly not about cooking. It's a woman's fantasy show.

Every episode is a good looking youngish woman with a nice car and a nice house that any woman would be thrilled to have. They get to take home this tall, handsome man with an accent who can cook. The chef is like the stereotypical dream man for women. It's never a middle aged woman, never a man, never a woman with a bad body.

So they get this dream chef to buy them fancy food and take them home. Then they invariably flirt and toss about what barely passes an inuendo. They stop just short of getting the woman to cheat on her man with the chef.

And this is on TLC? The LEARNING Channel? This show should be on fox or something. I don't have a problem with a woman's fantasy show, but I have a problem with them trying to sell it as a cooking show on TLC.

You will find that 'always', 'every', 'never' are not used by people unless they have decided that they are superior in knowledge to other people. One of the first episodes of the 2008 season featured a guy (yes, a guy) who wanted to surprise his girlfriend with an engagement ring. So much for 'Every episode is a good looking youngish woman, never a man'. Aside from your horrible grammar ('Every episode is...' you could use has or includes, but not is), you are clearly wrong about 'every episode'. And, then you write 'never a woman with a bad body'; another one of the first episodes of the season featured a young woman who wanted to surprise her husband with a baseball-themed date. She was very sweet, cute and very athletic, but she was overweight. So much for your second generalization.
So, in summary, your comments lack maturity and intelligence. Please refrain from spewing your gross (and incorrect) generalizations on this board.

exceptio probat regulam in casibus non exceptis

More commonly known as: the exception that proves the rule.

Looking on tv.com's episode list:
Season 1) 56 episodes, 1 male (1 more possible - Chris being an ambiguous name)
Season 2) 32 episodes, 1 male
Season 3) 6 episodes, 2 male

So out of 94 episodes, there have been 4 male oriented ones. Nope, no pattern there.

You will find that while people who rip on people on message boards for minor abuses in grammar (this wasn't exactly l33t being used) might be quite intelligent, they most assuredly are both immature and socially inept.

It only passes as a cooking show because he throws around the odd cooking tip. You're very right, though.
