Michael Wincott as Jeremy Brunell!

Michael Wincott's performance as the director Jeremy Brunell was hilarious... the man has the best voice in Hollywood and he once again proved his versatility as a character actor! He was definitely one of the highlights of the film... and his scenes with De Niro were excellent!

Hopefully, Michael will get the recognition he so deserves for his role in this film!

That's good to know- MW is the only reason I plan to see this!

I saw it, and I thought, as often happens, he was the best thing in the film, and certainly the funniest! He definitely got the most laughs from the audience.
It was so great to see him on the big screen again, all rockets firing! Really a hoot....

I am so glad the two of you saw Michael's latest scene stealer already. Here in Sarasota they keep putting back the release date. I scheduled to be off work tomorrow to see it and now I read online that it won't open here until Nov. 7.
LUCKY GIRLS!
Oh Well, guess I'll hit the theatre next Friday night instead.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts about Michael's performance. He deserves it.

As a HUGE fan of MW for almost 20 years, I can't tell you how overjoyed I was to watch him merrily steal the film! I was smiling for the rest of the night, and the next morning! It wasn't just the funny lines- it was, as usual, everything he put into it. Yet he's definitely serious in the end, when his character gives a big middle finger to Hollywood....I'm planning on seeing it again! :)

I wonder why they keep delaying it where you are? I hate it when they do that! I'm sure you'll enjoy it when you do see it! I'm in LA, and when I saw it there were several obvious movie folks there. Which is great- it will remind people in the industry how friggin' brilliant he is! :)

I was not familiar with Wincott, but yes, he was fantastic. I laughed my head off every time he was on screen.

The movie is pretty weak, but Michael Wincott was definitely excellent in this movie. He took a cliched kind of role and added some strange elements to it that made it memorable, like playing the character with a weird Keith Richards vibe (in fact, he could play Keef pretty well in a Rolling Stones movie).

Michael Wincott is always the best part of a film, and that says more about him then about the films he's been in! Absolutely fantastic actor!

The movie is decent but Wincott is brilliant!

His transition in the producer's office from cocky to having breakdown slamming the M&M's allover was classic.

Pattinson is ridiculously hot

Michael Wincott is awesome. Tough guy, drama, comedy, he does it all. This role was comedy gold~!

Michael Wincott was definitely the best part of this rather puzzling movie. I wasn't surprised to read that his favourite musician is Keith Richards. He seemed to model his character on Keef, with a dash of Sid Vicious thrown in.

I first discovered this bloke in about 1988 with Talk radio in which he was excellent.
Always liked him since and he enhances any film he's in.
Particularly liked him in this film, which in my opinion wasn't otherwise great, and he completely got the London South Eastern (which is where I'm from) accent down to a tee!
His performance too is hilarious!
DeNiro and Keener are always great, but I think they were outshone by Wincott in this.
I just checked because of this film and was delighted to discover that he's not actually a yank, as I'd thought, but a Canadian. Lots of talented actors from Canada, but for us on the other side of the pond it's not always easy to tell the difference. Especially as most Canadian actors curtail their accent to suit Hollywood as do most Brits too.
A brilliant actor though who's never gonna be a "star", but will always be immensly appreciated by few of us who get it! ;)

Yes, an astonishingly good 'Sarf London' accent from anyone, let alone a Canadian (though I see his dad came from the UK...but Lancashire, not London). VERY funny, too. The rest of the film is not as funny as it should be, though I haven't quite figured out why, yet. I'm not sure Levison quite had his heart in the required degree of self-ridicule...or maybe I mean his heart was TOO much in it, and he couldn't see that, as Chekhov taught us, what is deeply sad can also be deeply funny. Or maybe that's a different - and better - movie.

Wincott was definitely the best thing about the movie. De Niro was great and so was Bruce Willis but Wincott was awesome. He's an excellent actor. I've been a fan of his since I first saw him in the The Crow & The Three Musketeers

I agree. Just watched the film and had to look up Michael as I've never seen him before. Great performance, hilarious and and painfully funny!

Best thing about the movie. The film, overall, is okay. It never finds it's ground, but it's got a lot of small bits that are very good. Wincott is the best. I wish he had been the star. Who else would love to see a movie about that director fighting the studio? If they gave him a spinoff movie I'd totally see it.

He definitely channelled his inner Keith Richards!

Its that man again!!
