Update!

At the moment I am not going to get terribly specific.

All I will say is that I've read the message boards, and I understand the concern many fans have expressed. I am a huge fan of "The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra" and like many others have been waiting for "Trail of the Screaming Forehead" as though it were the Second Coming.

Also like many others I grew deeply concerned that Larry Blamire's newest film was never going to see the light of day.

Well...

To the Blamire Fans out there, I have good news. "Trail of the Screaming Forehead" has been submitted to several film festivals, and an official release date for the film is coming!!!

The Chiodo Brothers provided all the special effects for the film (including very minor CGI tweaks), and Ray Harryhausen has fully endorsed it. Blamire fans will soon be FOAMING AT THE MOUTH (or forehead if possible) when they see the trailer.

"Trail" maintains the same spirit and Ed Wood dialogue as "Skeleton," except this time it's shot in gorgeous high-def, and the Chiodo Bros.' imaginative special effects further enhance the look of the film.

I'll never forget the first time I saw "Lost Skeleton" in 2004. For a lifelong Ed Wood fan, it was an esoteric dream come true. As an indie filmmaker who's chased Ed Wood since high school, I was both envious and grateful that Larry put so much love into the film. He is a true artist who I respect and admire, and his work on "Trail" is bound to build on his unique reputation.

I hope this has been of help to fans. If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask. That's all... for now?

Hmm... I wonder.

Oh, well.

Thanks for the update! Seems like great news... any idea when the trailer will be available? Or a release date?

Hmmm... I also wonder.

Which film festvals, exactly?

reply

As I understand it, Trail of the Screaming Forehead will have it's world premier at the Seattle International Film Festival in May, 2007.

Other film festival confirmations should be on the way. The producers should definitely post this on the official website.

Thanks for asking!

As long as they make it to Chicago before to long. I don't want to have to wait for, then hunt down, a DVD while Seattle has all the fun.

reply

Speaking of which, does anyone know a schedule DVD release date yet?

Hand puppets are down here.
Are you sure?
They're under the stairs, they aren't marionettes.

I'm glad to hear things are moving along. Seldom have I awaited a film with such excitement.

Looking for Dangerous Visions? Read The RH Factor by Rick Hutchins.

So now we have what? Like 10 years until the dvd release?

Seriously the film has been done for awhile now. I dont understand the delay. Its frustrating and honestly, I dont like it but I gotta be honest here, my intrest is waning. Release the freaking movie already!
