Thomas - The Dresden Files (2007) Discussion

After reading quite a few of the books I would say Jason Momoa (Ronin Dax from stargate atlantis) would be perfect for the part. The way Thomas is brought to life in the books I could just see Momoa play the part perfect. A rough and ready to fight and has weapons on hand and ready to go. Even the way he speaks on stargate atlantis is how Thomas is in the books.

I think he would be a better fit as the Gatekeeper than Thomas. The Gatekeeper is about the same height as Harry (but muscular) and Momoa is 6'5, I think. Thomas, on the other hand is about 5'11, and even though Butcher describes him as having a bangin' body I think it's probably more slinky-muscular than bulk muscle.

I agree. He's described as having a model's body. Models don't look like Arhnald in a spedo. Too many muscles gross out most women.

At the risk of sounding cliche because he actually PLAYS a vampire...I would say Ian Somerhalder.

No, I don't watch 'The Vampire Diaries'.

Too young. I figure he'd have to be adult yet ageless, probably somewhere around thirty.

Ian's 32, so the age would be right-ish. Ben Barnes would be good too. I mean, movie magic makeup could give him the right other-worldly walking-dead, dang-sexy look. Heck, they made Robert Pattinson look hot in the Twilight films and he is NOT hot. They made all of the actors who played the vampires in that movie look hotter than they are in real life.

Matthew Bomer aka Neil Caffrey from White Collar.

He's what I imagined the second I read Thomas' description in the books.

Although, I must admit Ian Somerhalder would be good. He's quite pretty.
