I missed that part. What did De Niro wink at him at the end and how on earth did he end up on the other side of the wall?

He was on the other side of the wall because he and Victoria were invited to Tristan's wedding to Yvaine. As for why Captain Shakespeare winked at him, maybe you should look up the slang term 'whoopsie'.
