One of the most one-dimensional and OTT characters ever.
Normally I like these dark kind of films that examine the nasty underbelly of the mores of society and I've always been a fan of Macfadyen but I thought this one got it well wide of the mark with the character of Gabriel. I don't blame the actor just the script for completely failing to flesh him out and explain his motives. His progression from overzealous to absolute monster was just too quickfire for me to find it in anyway plausible. Maybe as a two-parter this could have been done so much better.
