Burbank, Calif., May 14, 2007 – Warner Home Video presents the DVD premiere of Russ Parr’s The Last Stand marking the powerful feature film directorial debut of the nationally syndicated radio and TV personality. Written and directed by Parr, a former stand-up comic, and loosely based on his life, The Last Stand is a hard-hitting drama following four aspiring performers on the tough road known as the comedy circuit. The DVD includes a “making of” featurette that takes you behind the scenes with Parr and the cast and will sell for $24.98 SRP.

Starring Guy Torry (Life), and Anthony Anderson (King’s Ransom, Hustle & Flow) both known for their work as comedians and dramatic actors; Darrin Dewitt Henson (Soul Food). Tami Roman (MTV’s Real World) and Todd Williams (ESPN’s Tilt), The Last Stand explores the drama of comedy through four up and coming comics who meet and become fast friends at The Last Stand, a notable Hollywood comedy club. Haunted by the demons of their past, and their aspirations for their future, each pursues stardom despite the trials and tribulations of the present. The Last Stand is an intimate, behind the scenes look at the bittersweet lives of those who live to make us laugh.

A mutli-talented artist, Parr is seen and heard by an average of 5 million listeners and viewers each week in more than 45 cities around the country between his nationally syndicated “Russ Parr Morning Show” on the Radio One Network and his nationally broadcast TV One dating game “Get The Hook Up”. “’The Last Stand’ is a project that is very close to me,” says Parr. “It’s very much an expression of one part of my life and reflects some of my experiences when I toured the comedy circuit. In my stand-up days, I met all kids of people, all who had the same dream, to get that one big break. But life on the circuit can be hard on some. Supported by an extensive television, online, print, trailering and radio marketing campaign to launch the title, The Last Stand will tour in major markets nationwide prior to its gala premiere in Los Angeles on July 9th at the Mann’s Chinese Theater
