Were real airline crash scenes used???

When they showed air crashes that were suposed to have been caused by terrorists, I think I saw actual news footage of the 1985 crash of a Delta Airlines Lockheed L-1011 Tristar at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport. This crash was caused by a Thunder storm, terrorists were not involved in this crash.

Over 100 people died in that crash!!!

If real crash scenes were used, I wonder how family members of those lost in the crashes will think of seeing it in a motion picture????
