Anyone else read the book?SPOILERS!!!

Has anyone else read the book on which this is based? It's called "Plender", and was written by Ted lewis, who also wrote "Get Carter".

The book is a good read, though out of print unfortunately.

There were a few interesting differences to the film.

In the book, the character Peter (Vincent in the film) is more of a womaniser, and he sets out to seduce the woman he is photographing for the underwear shoot.

In the film, this character doesn't set out to seduce her, so he comes across as more of a good guy, I think.

In the book, Plender has been bullied by Peter / Vincent, but has not been raped, as he has in the film version.

The film's climax, in which Plender is killed by Vincent, does not feature in the book. At the end of the book, it looks like Plender is in trouble because he has annoyed some other criminals.

The rescue scene from the freexer wasn't in the book at all!
