If you could pick a director/producer.. ..

Instead of Michael Landon Jr., (who is making good movies, even if not staying true to the novels), I have often wondered how Kevin Sullivan would have handled the adaptation. I loved how he put Anne of Green Gables into movies...he featured all the best aspects of the books, even when he created a story in the third film that was not even written.

I think these movies might have fared better as mini-series. Even when Anne of Avonlea covered three novels, I enjoyed it.

If Landon Jr. had taken Love's Enduring Promise and brought back Skye, then done the picture montage as an aging process to get to January Jones... they could have introduced more characters.

In Love's Long Journey, half the film could have covered the wagon train, the other half the 'adventures' of life on a ranch, trying to raise a small child in the soddy.

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy Michael Landon Jr.'s adaptations, but I do get curious at times as to how another would have dealt with it.
