Why didn't they....

Whyd didn't they use January Jones foir Missie in this movie? I think she played Missie better than Erin Cottrell.

reply

Perhaps she had a conflict of work, causing her to be unavailable. It would have been nice if JJ had been able to continue her role.

I agree that January played a better Missie, and was sad when she didn't continue.

I liked Erin's acting better - she didn't seem likes a cold, prissy city girl, like I thought January was.

reply

I thought January Jones fit more of Missie's Character and that Erin Cottrell didnt seem like the girl that Willie Lahaye would marry.

reply

Well i like Erin better then January, i mean Erin, played a down-right-country-girl! and i think she was the type that Logan would have married! so personally i liked Erin better then January.

I haven't watched loves long journey yet, but I have to say that I thought January Jones performance was terrible in loves enduring promise. Almost so bad as to ruin the whole movie. She just couldn't seem to get into the part; When Willie was telling her he loved her (while she was in the swing), and when she was saying goodbye to Clark at the end were the two worst scenes. She just acts like she was just reading the lines. I was pleased to hear that Missie was to be played by someone different, hoping that she does a much better job.

This is just my opinion.

I agree that January's acting seemed a bit stilted. But don't u think Erin looked a little too old for Logan? She looked like his mom at some points!

It's funny that you mentioned those 2 scenes with January Jones because those
were the ones that made an impression on my mind too. I felt her acting was
lifeless. Two important scenes in the movie(Willie saying goodbye to her, and
Willie telling her he loved her) and she responded with an airless reading of lines.---I thought Logan Bartholomew (Willie) did a fantastic job though!!

reply

Yeah, I think Erin did better at the part. January seemed too girly; nothing like Missy in the first movie. But I do think that Erin looked a little too old, especially compared to Willie.

reply

I think January did a great job at portraying a teenage version of Missie and Erin does a great job of portraying an older, more mature Missie.

I really prefer Erin's Missie. January's "Missie" seemed like a completely different character to me -- more girly and uptight.

I never thought at all that Erin seemed older than Logan.

January Jones was much better... but why did they replace her is out of my reach.....arghhhhh although I like Erin but she is not Missie for me.

January and Logan shared an Excellent chemistry. and it was sad that their chemistry lasted only for 1 movie.
