Metaphor

Did anyone else catch the Metaphor during the last scene of the movie? The Pastor lady is going through a car wash. I got a feeling the directors wanted this scene to be some sort of metaphor for the film. To me it's cleansing one's soul. The car is being washed but she is in it. I think it's meant to represent with the camp that she thinks she's cleaning the children's souls (car being washed) but in reality their souls aren't truly being cleansed through everything being forced on them. Thoughts?

I thought parting of the Red Sea when the car wash opened up.I think that's what the filmmakers' were going for.But that's just me.
