Why the glaring errors in the mission?

Looking at the animations of the spacecraft interiors (control panels and such), it is obvious that a lot of effort went into getting things correct, down to switch labels and control locations that nobody but us Apollo geeks would appreciate. :)

So with all the effort that went into these more or less static shots, I have to wonder what was going on with the "action" parts of the mission shown? A Saturn V making it to orbit without staging? Keeping the SIV-B stage attached all the way to the moon, and not extracting the LM until immediately before descent?

Yes, I know it is a kid's movie. But even my 6YO son caught the lack of staging during the climb to orbit...

there were glaring errors b/c the whole thing was poorly written.

You are surely both having a *beep* bubble. This is a movie for FIVE year olds.

Actually, do you know what, I'll join you, you pair of tits. The glaring error that I noticed was that insects can talk in the film. They can't do that in real life.

Call me a budding zoologist but even my kids noticed it........

Good answer, ssscott. Clearly the maggots who made this movie weren't good pupals in history, biology, or sciants.

I know this conversation is like older than my nephew in the making but I gotta say he called the previous posters you pair of tits. This cannot go unanswered. It made me lmao. Now I got to watch the film. Stand by for response!

But that isn't what they said. The problem isn't that this kid's movie is wrong, it's that it's inconsistent.
