This film teaches children to hate fat people

Well I ordered this movie from PPV just in time to see one of the flies, lecture a fat fly for being "obese" and how horrible it is, how many health problems he would have. Of course, also claiming his own lack of self-esteem is a result of being fat. Surely it isn't cause of sizeists like the creator of this film, that fat people are taught to hate each other. Followed by "ewww that's gross!" when the fat fly keeps eating.

This movie will teach your child how to become a bully. Take a stand and let them know your child doesn't need to be taught cruelty by adults. Do not buy this film, tell your friends to not buy it.

It is a 5 minute segment which does nothing but show children that thin people are superior simply by being born the correct way. No different than if a film suggested to children that White people were superior to Blacks. The only difference is people like to live under the lie that fat is a choice, and that's what allows fat discrimination and bigotry such as this to continue.

Can't adults be big enough to keep their adult issues and bigotry, out of the minds of impressionable children? Perhaps this would serve as a good lesson to children, to not use "facts" to intimidate and bully other children.

I totally agree with you the fat people bashing has got to stop.. at least with Kung Fu Panda they did an o.k job.. Possibly Horton too..

If your kids mimic others' points of view when they encounter them rather than understanding that they are merely those particular persons' views (or characters' in this case)--just one small set of views out of many, and that your child has to think about things, research things, etc. and come to their own conclusions about things, then you've got far more serious problems than them watching a film.

Is everyone in this house a total nutzoid or is it just me?

This is a film that appeals to the under age 10 kids, do you really expect them to be able to have the critical thinking abilities of a 12 year old?

Also, I'm not a parent, but here's some advice. Attacking parents parenting skills will only get you into trouble, many parents throw a tantrum worthy of their own small child, just from being asked to quiet their kids down.
