No, this is not a bad movie ....

No, this is not a bad movie and is certainly entertaining enough that adults willing to suspend some disbelief will enjoy it. And if you grew up in the space race era as I did, you will most certainly enjoy the scenes with NASA, the rockets and in space. The story is definately so-so though, and if the writers had spent a little more effort developing a plot, this could have been a much better movie.

However, I think every movie of this type (CGI Animation) needs to be judged against "Finding Nemo" which is incredible. It's also proof that a kids movie can have a great story line and be quite enjoyable for adults as well. But what do I know? My signature is a quote from a cartoon show.

"The same thing we do every day, Pinky, TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!"

I have absolutely no problem with animated movies (Cars, Ratatouille, etc.), but I found this flick really boring. I can't see a kid, from 3 to 10, sitting through a movie with no "fun" to it. The 3-D was OK, but that doesn't hold a movie together. Gotta have some ACTION!

You're right. I had a kid behind me moaning about how boring the movie was and another one asking how much longer they'd have to be there.

What are you guys on about? It's not that bad. The biggest flaw was the saccharine and predictable story/narrative. The animation wasn't bad, and neither were the voice talents, and I absolutely loved the soundtrack. It is not the worst 3D film out there, Spy Kids 3 is pretty bad. This movie is a 7/10 from me, Bethany

I liked Spy Kids 3D more.

Kids WILL definitely enjoy this a lot more than their adult counterparts, but that doesn't mean that the movie is anything but mediocre. You're right, it isn't bad, but it isn't good either. Great sensory appeal, but that's it. Disappointing in EVERY other aspect; I'm just thankful the animation was so good.

I thought it was awful, the voice-acting terrible (pauses and gaps), and the scene at the END! Wow, what a moron Aldrin is or was made to look.

I was a counselor at a camp and was forced to watch this with the kids i was working with. I knew it was going to be a kids movie when i walked in but it was far worse than i thought it would be. I fell asleep for most of it. It reminded me of Butt ugly martians the nickelodeon show, which was also very very bad.

Yes, it is bad. Unbelievably bad.

The plot was idiotic. Every single line was cliched. It was incredibly predictable. The voice acting was awful. None of the characters were likeable. It wasn't funny. It made Buzz Aldrin look like an idiot. The animation wasn't all that great. It made all Russians look stupid, ugly, and evil. It said all women are fainting wimps. And all fat kids fart as a method of transportation, and that's about all they're good for. It was completely uninformative. The flies looked hideously ugly. Why flies, anyway?! Who likes flies?!

This movie made me want to weep for the fate of animated film.

The only thing I thought was any good was the voice performance of Christopher Lloyd. It sounded halfway realistic.

I'm still young but I typically watch new CG animated films with my niece but this one I could not sit through more then 20 minutes of. I was bored stiff, even my 9 year old niece fell asleep at 6pm. It was incredibly bad.
