what do adults think: worth watching?

is it? is it thoughtful or just another exploitation mockumentary?

Not sure how old you wanted people to be to comment. Anyway I'm 25.

To your question:

It was obvious this doc was pretty heavily edited, and it sometimes feels a bit manipulative (use of emotional music at the right places being a good example.) You have to be critical of what you are shown on screen. In a few of the worst parts the film borders on MTV-reality type of quality, but mostly it feels like it stays somewhat close to the reality. However as I'm Norwegian and not American I can't really say for sure.

But it was an interesting film to watch, and I nodded and laughed alot as I noticed having been in the same situations and done the same mistakes myself at that age. And for that quality alone it's worth watching I think.

MTV and reality shows give me indigestion and occasionally toothache. So I guess I'd rather give it a pass.

To answer the OP, I have seen the documentary several times and I think it is excellent. I am British and did not go to high school in America so to me it is always interesting to watch a documentary about people who are not like me.

Do you think American teens are different from the British? British also comes in different shape and colour...

^It's not a matter of whether American and British teens are different (I am sure they are), but my point was that I did not go to high school in America. I went to an all-girls school in England, which was 100% different from any high school I have seen depicted here.

It is one of the worst movies i've ever seen
