The show originally ran from 2005-2006 in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, Canada...so we're a bit behind the curve in getting it here in the US.
I just discovered it myself about six months ago and its trully delightful, a bright spot in an otherwise wastleland of television garbage.
But I think if four/five years have passed without a full second season, we can't hope for one now. Wikipedia mentions a few second season episodes were produced. To quote the Wikipedia entry on this:
"According to an announcement made by Corus Entertainment on 13 June 2006,[1] a second season of thirteen new episodes was to premiere sometime in 2007 on YTV. So far, this has not been fulfilled for Jane and the Dragon's airings on NBC; however, three second-season episodes have aired on the Ion Network on the West Coast in the United States."
I started looking into how the show was made because it is so unique, and since it both uses actors for the motion aspects of the scenes and CGI, I think it would be difficult to copy... The characters are all delightful, the voices excellently done, and every episode I have seen is like a jewel.
Its sad that it appears to have come to an end...
