Cut off endings?

When I first started watching the show, I don't remember this "Dragon Time" part at the end when the Dragon comes in and says some moral or something we're supposed to have learned from the episode. Nowadays it looks like they cut the ending off the put it in there. IMO it's unnecessary and I'd rather just see the episode play to the end - unless I'm nuts and that Dragon Time thing was always there. Am I right?

Yea I think that was added for the qubo airings. Not really sure what the point of it is, really, the "moral" of the show is usually pretty obvious without spelling it out.

I think you are right that the "Dragon Time" bits were added to the endings of the CUBO showings, but they didn't cut anything off the endings of the episodes, except maybe a second or two of fade-out.

It seems to serve as filler for a couple reasons. For instance, the opening intro goes on at 5:59. Every single episode seems to end one way or another at 6:24pm and even then it's not a lot when you consider the break it takes in the middle of the program. Now not all of the episodes are reaching up to 6:24pm and many of them actually end at 6:23 and they put in the Dragon Talk filler which does end at 6:24pm and forces them to rapid speed right through the closing credits.

Sometimes the episode does naturally end early but other episodes are actually given that Dragon Talk filler because they censored some of the episodes by cutting some seasons out.

-The very end of Strawberry fool is faded out early to prevent viewers to hear the prince vomiting which might I add is off screen anyway.

-Go West Gardener is unbelievably butchered and after waiting two months to catch it on Qubo, I can see why they don't show it very often. But you can clearly tell when they edit out scenes. At that rate, it makes me wonder why not just butcher up Three's a Crowd and Mismatched while they're at it instead of outright banning it. Supposedly they air the Tooth Fairy episode according to Qubo's site but I've yet to see it on the channel at night.

Personally I think the morals at the end are insulting to intelligence. The morals are pretty clear in the episodes themselves. It's kind of redundant to then state them again. I don't even know why they censor it at all. I and many people my age watched Ren and Stimpy as a kid so it's freakin hilarious to see them go frantic over off screen hurling, dung slinging, etc. I don't see how it's any different than reading the Harry Potter books. Both have about the same age groups for fans.

If you ask me and you didn't I think Martin Baynton is a fool. I think he has a great story and show idea and he settled for less than 10th best. I have heard on numerous ocassions that he can't move forward with this until there is a more secure financial reason blah blah blah.... I know for a fact that Disney and Nickelodeon and even CartoonNetwork would have taken this show up in a heartbeat. My honest oppinion the only thing Qubo really plays is the stinking Veggie Tales and Something about a penguin.... Granted they're not the only shows on the station but they are played so consistantly that it makes one wonder, or maybe its just me, but don't they have any other damn shows. Again Martin Baynton has a great idea its just sad that he had every chance to make it great but left it to crumble. There are no new seasons comming out and quite frankly I can't even bare to watch this show anymore. Sorry for those who think I am too harsh on this, but if its funding this man needs I know a few people who would fund this show and I have emailed and offered.
Anyway thanks for hearing a fellow fan/exfan complain.

Gosh, I have no absolute idea what zakima over there is talking about, but thanks echonia, for more info on the changes.

That's rather ridiculous. I'm glad YTV doesn't even do that. All these tv censorship is really pathetic sometimes.

Just to update, Qubo does air the Tooth Fairy episode.
And you are right, "Go West" is heavily cut. Really takes away from a very good episode.
On the OT, I could take or leave the "Dragon Time" segments. I do dislike how they speed through the credits.
