the car chase scene - how do they do it

after JC stops the car and picks up the basket with the baby, all the cars keeps hitting near JC - the stuntwork/coordination is simply superb, how do they do it !?

I wouldn't say it's definitely not superimposed. I'm loath to say it, but it does look a little superimposed to me.
I'm sure there's an earlier film where Jackie did something similar and it's definitely real. I'm NOT thinking of Operation Condor with the baby in the pram.
