Finally another great Jackie movie!

First of all, I'm a huge Jackie Chan fan. All his movies are fantastic! But we have to admit his recent ones haven't been so good (actually I thought they were good but they could have been way better).

So what I'm really trying to say is that this movie reminds me alot of his older movies which were pretty damn awesome. It's funny, has a good story and tons of great action scenes! I'm glad I didn't see any of those wire stunts that were very noticeable in his previous films (New Police Story, etc.).

But yeah, that's all I wanted to say. It's like Jackie is back in the game...even though he's always been in the game. Well, I'll never be dissapointed because I'm a huge Jackie Chan fan.

I just hope Jackie & his team make other movies similar to this and not something like the Myth.

Are you serious?! There were much more wired movements in Rob-B-Hood, and often it was awfully badly done. In New Police Story, the wire usage quite subtle.

I also loved the film, I watched it twice in 3 days. Great to see Jackie back to his Hong Kong roots, I hope he never does another American film again.

this is really one of his bad movies.

this one is much better: Xin jing cha gu shi

i think this one is even worse than rush hour 3.

Having just watched this the other night, I can't even imagine how anyone could think this was good. I'm a big JAckie Chan fan, but this movie started off bad and got worse, winding up at laughably bad by the end. I almost turned it off after awhile but figured I might as well see how stupid the ending was, and sure enough, it was very.

To each their own I guess, but I really think some of you are trying too hard to like it since its been awhile since a "good" Jackie Chan movie came out (New Police Story was ok.. Not sure I'd call it good though)

I agree. Movie is so bad.

I don't know what you're talking about, I loved it. I guess its a matter of opinion.

It was worth fast forwarding thru just to watch the stunts

This is no Police Story or Drunken Master 2, and let's be honest, Jackie will hardly make another one of those. But this still quite watchable, more in the spirit of 80s/90s HK action comedies. Better than all the stuff he has been doing recently, both in america and HK.

The first movie of Jackie Chan I watched in my life was "Snake in the eagle's shadow", when it was released in theatres around 30 years ago. At that time I was 9 or 10 years old, and since then I have watched almost all his movies, even the ones he made in the first seventies. Last years he has made some watchable movies but not so good as before, even some of them are not satisfactory, like "Around the world in 80 days" or "The medallion". However, "Rob-B-Hood" has been a very pleasant surprise for me, a real return to his good action comedies in eighties, and I know what I'm talking. This movie, "New police story" (a really good installment in a serious role) and "The forbidden kingdom" (a beautiful, funny and exciting fantasy with elements of the Chinese mythology) have renewed my interest in the career of this unique actor and stuntman. Every year I travel to China and I can feel that he is like a national heroe, always appearing in television (shows, advertisements...) and being the center of the entertainment news. After so many years, he is still the most important movie star in his country and many Eastern countries, and I can understand why. "Rob-B-Hood" is not an art movie but it's pure entertainment, 100% Jackie and a nice gift for his loyal fans.

nice one jose:)
I enjoyed the movie. the fight scenes lacked some impact but everything else was ok. not great but ok. It is remarkable what this man can do despite his age and many infuries.

i absolutly agree,
i really liked rob b hood and the Shinjuku Incident, what drew me to Shinjuku Incident was that its is an 18 which is strange for a jackie chan movie now a days and i loved seeing jackie in a much more gritty role rather than his recent type cast genre of childrens action comedy.
i too didnt think much of jackies recent movies like the medallion, the myth, rush hour 3!, the forbidden kingdom and new police story.
im really glad to find new jackie chan movies i like once again.

The day Jackie Chan dies will be one of the saddest days of my life. I will enjoy all his movies.

I really liked this movie. It made laugh from start to finish. Some of the gags reminded me a bit Stephen's Chow's comedy style.

I'd like to see Jackie and Stephen teaming once again (Stephen directing). I am sure the movie would be a complete blast.

Jackie and Chow NEED to work together.
They are like the perfect match. Chow reminds me a lot of Chan but with less martial arts and more comedy. I hope they'll work on a project together sooner or later.

I didn't know anyone could make movies that were that bad
