Made for TV feel to it?

Was going to watch this but the trailer wasn't very enticing and it seems like it has a made-for-TV feel to it. It also doesn't seem very funny-more cheesy. Sort of like a failed attempt at wanna-be-monty-python meets national-lampoon's. Don't know, that's the vibe I got. Maybe the trailer just sucks as advertising. Another turn-off is the amount of promo posts that clearly denote some bias. Anyone actually seen this that isn't directly linked to the production, feel free to chime in. I may consider watching if I'll know it's not a total waste of time. Thanks.
