Timeline of Matt and Danny Quitting
I'm not quite sure how the timeline worked. I think early in the show it's suggested Matt and Danny quit/were fired 4 years ago, but later it's 5 or 6 years, anyone recall how that timeline went?
shareThose numbers work fairly well. The show aired in 2006-2007. They weren't fired immediately after 9/11, they were still with the show a few weeks later for the emmys; so it was probably early 2002 that they were fired. Making the beginning of the show over 4 years since they were fired, by the end of the season it would be between 5-6 years.
shareIIRC, the Emmys were pushed back to like November because the initial makeup date was when we first bombed Afghanistan
