Re-watching the show now! Forgot how good it was!!

I never finished the series, and only ever saw around 8-10 episodes, but I'm on episode 22 now and I love it!. Can't believe it didn't last, and I can't believe I didn't watch more of it back then. I suspect I was too distracted by other shows at the time.

So damn entertaining!

I'm also a fan of West Wing and Newsroom, so I hope Sorkin does another new show soon, even if it lasts for one season.

Try Sports Night. It was brillaint. You can tell it's early Sorkin, but it's brillaint. The only real thing wrong with it, is, believe it or not, the use of canned laughter. I mean WTF!

Thanks!

I have seen a couple episodes of Sports Night, and while it was good, it didn't hook me like Studio 60, West Wing or Newsroom. One of the main actors wasn't a fave of mine, and you're right, I think there was a laugh track or something odd about it.

Sorkin is good fun though! Wish he'd write a Jack Ryan movie with Harrison back in the role.

If you like the rest of his stuff, give it five or six episodes before you give up on it.

The pilot isn't really that good at all, but it gets *so* much better. And you'll appreciate the characters more if you trudge through those early episodes.

Which actor didnt you like?

I thought it was very good but it took itself a little too seriously. If you have an episode of the west wing where the writers are writing a speech for the president, the serious tone works fine.

If you have an episode of this where the writers are writing a sketch, the serious tone becomes slightly ludicrous. Too many episodes felt like West Wing dialogue but in a trivial, lighthearted context -- that didn't sit well.

Never mind.
