False Advertising on the Cover!

Blood Wars, as it's called here in Australia, features on the cover a waist-down shot of what appears to be 3 vampire hunters, equipped with axes and what appears to be an Uzi and a rifle. Not one of these weapons were used, and were clearly put on the cover to trick people into thinking they might be picking up an action flick.

It seems as though the whole movie was shot on campus as part of the students' studies. If that's the case, then fair enough, but it's for their teachers to watch and grade, not for us viewers to endure. The outdoor scenes used far too much floodlighting, plot - pitiful, and there was not enough music or sounds to amplify any of the scenes. I can't really blame the actors.. they really had nothing to work with.

A total waste of my time.

If they would have advertised it as a kitchy little vampire flick, kind of throw back Drive-in movie, I think it would have played much better. Distributors often try to advertise the film in a way that will generate the most sales, and not actually what the film is about. Sucks for the movie, as its not that bad.. for what it is.
