green day is a pretty cool band "most" of there lyrics are pretty *beep* punk rock, just because they signed to a major label doesnt make them any less than what theyve been, its what they stand for for that matters not how well produced there music is or how much money theyre making! so stop saying "theyre posuers" or "theyre sellouts and not punk" can anyone even find me a quote where they have actually stated to be a *beep* punk band?

if you ask me all of you people that claim to be punk, and say that green day is a posuer band are all suburban rich kids just trying to sound cool, has anyone read the bass players bio?? hes more punk then you could ever be, it has nothing to do with looks, its about questioning authority and not taking things for face value, and not letting people push you around and just being yourself, and greenday has alot of that in there lyrics. just because jonny rotton says there not punk doesnt make it true, besides sex pistols are one of the biggest sellout bands ever!
