I attended the World Premiere of The Marconi Bros. at the 2008 SXSW Film Festival. My review is here:

Sounds like a good film. I'm looking at the DVD, and they've retitled it "Wedding Bros." and appear to be capitalizing on "The Wedding Crashers" with the line: "The original crashers." This seems like a big mistake to me.

I agree that the promotional stretch to twin it with the wedding crashers is a mistake. this film is a little subtler, a little sweeter, a lot more true-to-life in showing the trenches of cheap wedding glitz. also, the pairing of sexton and fogler is very strong, but different from the two buddies in Crashers. these guys act like real brothers, laughs and fights and all.
but the film is not the marketing campaign. this seems to always happen, actually.

anyway, this is a funny film, and the cast is a delight. i don't see that many films with shared director credits. this seemed to work a charm in this case.

Thanks for your comments. I have this DVD and hope to watch it soon.

Excellent point that the film is not the marketing campaign, akin to judging a book by its cover. I suspect the filmmakers had absolutely nothing to do with DVD artwork.
