Ok, so just watched this movie and found it quite enjoyable. That said, I am failing to make a connection to the title. What is the Secret of Kells?
Obviously, for those who have not seen the movie, potential spoilers may follow.
I was wondering that, too. I would accept the explanation that the secret is the Eye; that makes sense.

The eye of crom was just a magnifying glass, a tool to manifest the secret.
I actually thought the secret was potentially Brendan himself, being the one - and possibly the ONLY one - that would be able to continue and finish the book.
shareThat's what I was leaning towards. The way the Abbott was talking at the end before Brendan came back made me think of it. He was saying "how could I not have seen his talent" and how it was hidden until it was too late or whatever.
