Rehka in the old version was so dull and talentless ! She dance well tought ! Aishwarya Rai outshine her in every way ! The character was deep , beautifull and etherel !!

Unfortunately, I couldn't see "Umrao Jaan" starred by Rekha. However, I've heard a lot of praises about her preformance.

I only saw Aishwarya's version and I think her acting and dancing were wonderful.

I agree! I think everyone says that Rehka is better because of her legendary status but Aishwarya rocked it out. She looked better, danced better and just made me feel for her characters struggle. The production was miles better as well.
