Soulful
Call it an overstatement but this movie keeps the hope for the dying art of movie making not only in bollywood but in the world. The world is fed up of linear and structured plots with a demarcated 3 act structure. That type of cinema now looks mundane and plastic and has overlived its life. "Main, Meri Patni Aur Woh" is not only a whif of fresh air but it stirs our emotions deep down. It influences our lives, which ideally every movie should do. This movie portrays very subtle emotions which could be appreciated by people with fine senses.
The story looks autobiographical in nature. The writer Gunjan Joshi must have himself gone through such grieves to know the insecurities of a short man which otherwise are well camouflaged by the people who are suffering. I must commend his talent for portraying those emotions so artistically. In this respect, this movie raises one more profound issue known as 'heightism' ie discrimination on the basis of stature. This is an evil which is imported to India from US where it has been the single biggest but hidden cause of insecurites and lack of productivity among people who do not stand upto a height which is considered the 'right height' by this superficial society. Here is a site which deals with the issue:

Coming back to the movie. I guess Chandan Arora and Sudhir Mishra are the directors who would take movie making to its next step of evolution. Currently, the majority of audience are not mature enough to appreciate their movies but when the people grow up to such mature cinematical stuff, these directors will rock.
