Big fan of Thora..but it this film any good?

No, it's horrible. Seriously. I'm a big fan of Thora, but Dark Corners has got to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen and ever made. The only reason I sat through it was to see Thora move and talk.. other than that, it's a piece of sh*t. She can do better, she just needs a way better script.

WEll it has it ups and downs...Mostly downs...I expeted more but never came...But if you are a fan you should watch it..There are a couple of disgusting scenes so keep your hands at the level of your eyes :)

reply

I liked it! It was different, not like a typical "horror" movie. I'm actually going to look for it on ebay. :)

it wasnt bad at all... see it once atleast if you are into the mulholand drive type psyc horror films

This is YOUR LIFE and it is ending one minute at a time!

I thought it was pretty good, very weird too.

The movie was utter crap. I thought it was gonna actually turn out good, about a half hour into it, but then it just went downhill. The ending doesn't make any real sense, it's weird for the sake of being wierd. One of the crappiest crapfest that was ever crapped.

On a side note, Thora has always been a big draw for me, she was the only reason I rented it inthe first place. Such a hottie. Sad she did this.

reply

No,the film is total crap.

Only worth watching it for the pleasure of seeing her in blonde hair/dark hair and if you're thrilled to see what happened to her character...

Weird movie

reply

I thought it was good up until the ending. The film built up suspense and an eerie atmosphere, but never quite figured out how to unleash it.

I enjoyed this movie, everyone here is too critical of it.

I'm with you Juliefarer. I just watched it tonight on sci fi and was totally confused until i came on hear to read some explanations. Having heard those makes me think it's a pretty clever movie. I still have some questions though that I hope soemone can explain.

reply

Briecoop & Juliefarer...do you really think a film is any good when you have to come here and search for answers?

I think NOT!

Although I caught on to the symbolism and message, I was very confused.

I love the film's concept, however it was poorly executed.

There are quite a few contradictions, along with plot twists which are at best questionable.

If you're looking for a non-linear film with a twist that pays off. I'd recommend watching Momento or 21 Grams.

Sorry no non-linear horror films come to mind.

Hi Dramatica, yes I do think that it was a good film even though I came on here to look for some answers. If I didn't enjoy the film, I would have turned it off. It was engaging even though I didn't understand some of what was going on. Coming here after (wanted to give myself a chance to see if I could make the connections myself), was like having a conversation about the movie with friends. Because of hearing others' points of view, I ended up with a different understanding--which I also think is good. I have seen Momento (and loved it....), though not 21 grams. I'll look for that one next. Thx.

Juliefarer

I highly recommend Spider with Ralph Fiennes too

OK, thanks dramatica!

It's been more than a few years since you left me this recommendation, so it's taken me a while to follow through. Just ordered the DVD tonight, and will be able to watch it soon. Thanks again for the suggestion.

I thought Thora was excellent. The film was fair to good. Worth watching. Liked the imagery. Liked trying to solve the mystery. Liked the ending.
