Thoughts on a sequel

so my idea is that in the sequel

Ed and Al decide they can help this new world with there intelligence. they learn this worlds science and develop a company that builds incredible technologies for the betterment of mankind

they go on various journeys but then discover an ancient library. in the library they find various books and scrolls that have formula's simulacra to transmutation circles but its nothing like they ever seen before


Ed and Al try to figure out what it means but can not they realize they will need a codex they search the library until they find a book that might help and eventually find the codex once they decipher it. they learn they can now do alchemy in that world. Ed postulates that THE GATE is a doorway to many worlds(multiverse type of thing) each world is parallel and is different in nature having separate types of alchemy


they find out there is a cult of alchemists that still exist inside the Regular earth(the one that they are trapped in) these alchemists can still practice alchemy some of which can do so with out transmutation circles like Ed and AL

it will turn out that long ago this specific cult was from another dimension called Alchemaria and a war happened when they tried to take over every dimension. and they were trapped in the earth that represents the real world. essentially how it happened was there enemy created a formula that is antithesis to there formula and essentially locked the gate to there original world this cult forces Ed and Al to open the gate to Ed and Al's home world once there the cult promptly takes over using the very technology that Ed and Al created which rivals alchemy(modern guns, planes, plasma technology etc)


once there this cult plans on using Ed and Al to open the Gate in Amestris

once the gate is open they lead an invasion force that is made up of both cult members and Amestris soldiers who are being forced to work for them. and lead that invasion force to Alchemaria. the reason being is that the forces of Alchemaria only locked the gate to there world on the side of Earth Real(our world) but since Amestris is completly different realm there is no lock to the gate.


this could be 2 sequels or 1 it could all end with a big epic war once there ed discovers that the alchemy in Alchemaria has the same basic formula allowing them to use alchemy inside Alchemaria . but he discovers something because he has knowledge of both alchemy from earth real and Amestris he can transmute with out smacking his hands together because the two styles create a metaphysical circle between the dimensions allowing him to simply transmute with a wave of his hand as if he was using a philosophers stone


in the end Ed and Al lead Amestris and Alchemaria to victory over the cult. it ends with Ed and Al on a journey through Gate after gate learning about each dimension and combining the sciences of all the different worlds together in a goal to replace Alchemy so no one will ever have to worry about getting defeated by what he has come to believe is a power no one should have
