Fritz Lang
Having the alternate version of Bradley be director Fritz Lang is an awesome tribute, I have to say.

shareI Agree :D Fritz Lang was one of the best directors of all time, So it was kinda interesting seeing one of my favorite cartoon characters meet one of my favorite directors xD
shareyeah i know, it was so unexpected, but i loved all the historic background of the movie, and especially Fritz Lang.
shareIndeed! it makes me appreciate this movie all the more. It's great that Lang's influences are being referenced in anime as well.
Although, I wish they would've referenced one of his movies though or something, so people would know for sure that Fritz Lang is an actual director and to check out his work. If I wasn't already aware of him, I would've thought that Fritz Lang was a random alias to make Bradley into a positive German character.
Oh well, I've been wanting to get a friend more into film noir without being too pushy, but this film now gives me the perfect reason show them more of Lang's work. Love this movie! >:)
Lang once was associated with a 1916 German silent called Homunculus, about a man-created being who takes over the government. One intertitle is "Der Fuhrer ist Homunculus!" I wonder if Arakawa knew about this one...
I once toyed with the fanfic of an elderly Edward going to the Grigori Moroder remix of Metropolis, and remembers the time he and Al visited Fritz Lang during the making of the film. Al is rather wary about Lang's resemblance to Bradley, and is intrigued about the Futura Robot, reminding him of the armor he inhabited.
