shareIt's a spoof/satire on the Corman Slumber Party/Sorority Party series.
shareThats what I was wondering
shareIts more of a tribute to those films :) or atleast thats what I got out of it.
shareYeah, it's like someone watched ALL the old '___ ____ massacre' films from the 80s, got his friends together with NO money for any of it, and called it a movie.
At least the 80s versions had SOME money to spend on fake blood or props or something. This had no HINT of any of that.
I wanted to like it as i'm a big fan of those old massacre movies as well. But unfortunately, this was too slow, too poorly written (even for a massacre tribute), and despite the fact that effects are easier to do now, we don't even get ANY.
Have your fast forward button on call if you decide to watch this for some reason. This seems to have been filmed all in one afternoon. If it took any longer than that, you'd never tell by the result on the screen.
4/10, just for the nudity. Without that, a 1 or 2 sounds about right... not cheesy enough to be fun, not serious enough to be a good movie.
"Look, Hank. Have you ever seen such a beautifully punted baby?" - King of the Hill
i loved this one - in a bad way of course.
maybe people that didn't watch this director's earlier stuff wouldn't appreciate it.
i've heard all kinds of complaints from "lack of gore" etc...and while - yes - the movie isn't bloody - it's hilariously bad - in a good way. i think they did it on purpose.
of course - it's better than most micro budget b movies - they actually got celebrities, a real police station and prison set - plus 2 of the girls are hot.
i don't know why i waited to rent this - but the bad comments on netflix made me think the director had sold out or something.
this has all the requisite bad dialogue, nudity and more i'd expect - plus reggie bannsiter and linnea quigley together in there scenes.
80's - please come back. we need u!!!!!
