Movie is full of bad acting

What a bunch of friends are writing reviews for this movie? How ever good the script may be the acting is hollow and over done most of the time.I know this movie is low budget but does the acting have to be also?

The movie did win two awards for acting. In the NY International Film Festival it won BEST ACTOR for Danny Trejo's performance of Hector. It also won BEST BREAKTHROUGH ACTOR for George Katt's performance of Zeus. The film also won the Grand Jury Prize for BEST FEATURE at the same festival.

The script won the Writemovies.com International Screenwriting Contest - Best Script out of 1,000 entries.

The release date is Feb. 5th....

Ya not like your some Fanboi with a bias opinion. You keep trying to promote this movie. Ive seen it and the movie feels like it was shot with a home video camera.
I dont really care what award it may have gotten, the supporting cast is weak, and over acted.

omg! thank you so much mekun23 can I buy you a basket of candy and fruit? Tell it to that guy "but but but it got an award" but but but who gives a *beep* Awards are given out by people who have their own opinions doesn't mean we can't have our own opinions and decide whether or not we thought the acting was good or not. Lets face it this movies acting did blow...at times it was alright but nothing that deserves an award. However I think the hott red head deserves an award. For having to work on this movie and still delivering a great performance as the sweet loving girlfriend who atleast had some substance. I mean I actually felt like "how cool would it be if I had a girlfriend like that" and then I sadly had to watch her get smacked around for no reason. Bottom line this movies acting stunk and the plot blows.

There must not be a lot of breakthrough actors because that has been the only time NYIIFF has given that award out...

I so agree with you. I will admit that I had no problem with George Katt's performance but the rest of the cast came across very unrehearsed and cold, like they had never acted before and were trying to hard. As much as I like Trejo, even he sounded kinda weak and unrehearsed to me. I may not know alot about this industry but I do watch my share of movies and I think that this movie had great potential and could have been so much more. Unfortunately I just thought that it was lacking something in more ways than one...

I agree...i can't believe this movie won any kind of an award. Somebody please let me know what organization awarded this film...so i'll know to ignore any such awards being promoted by any future films i'm thinking of watching. It's not that it was a terrible film, but it also wasn't very good. I agree that it's biggest shortcoming was the bad acting, but i also think it moved a little slow, and i thought the editing was poorly done. It's a shame that there isn't a single unbiased review of this film on imdb. It's pretty obvious that the reviews up to this point were done by people involved with the making of this film.
