Was Liffey's baby the grandmother reincarnated?

Was Liffey's baby the grandmother reincarnated? I was wondering if perhaps she had casted a spell on not only Liffey's baby but on herself as well. There's nothing in the movie to back this up...But Liffey did end up giving birth to a baby girl. Also, when Audrey was playing the piano, although she appeared to be helping Liffey, I found it peculiar that she had stated "it is done now" at exactly the same time the grandmother had passed away smiling wickedly. The smile is what made me wonder about this possibility. What reason did she have to smile at her death?

Liffey's baby was not a reincarnation of "Molly" (the grandmother). The baby was Liffey and Richards. When Audrey was playing the piano, and stops suddenly and say's "its over", she was talking about Molly dying. She knew that she had passed away, and as for Molly smiling, I dont know exactly why she did that, but I thought it was a little freakish, and slightly scary, but brilliant.

This junky movie might have been saved by a reincarnation plot.

Not a junky movie but about a woman: Molly, controlling her daughter's destiny through her desire to replace her son who died in the fire. Her knowledge of the ways of the little people and men's desires create a powerful brew symbolised by the mushroom drink, which drives the plot. For who of us knows the source of our love, and our fixation on one person, who teaches us ourself...
