I feel sorry 4 everone invovled in this film!

Did anyone else feel physically embarrassed watching this movie? It was really really one the most awkward films ive ever watched.

The film made no sense at all characters personalities changed frm one scence to the nxt and were completly unbelievable. Poorley directed to say the least and each so called joke and funny line in the movie was just so wierdly delivered! In fact the only funny bit and I mean the ONLY funny bit was at the carshow roomm wen the manager was bein interviewed by the police and bent over to pick up a pen and the policeman simulated havin sex with him! and i mean that was only funny cause its sumthin me and my mates do!

People complain about the bad acting in this film but I honeslty feel sorry for them the script was cringe worthy and they had nothing to work with!

p.s rant over!

reply

agreed, without doubt the *beep* film ive ever seen. totally crap

reply

Totally agree. This movie really sucked....it was nothing funny. The write ups will make you believe that Isla Fisher was real funny etc, when she wasn't, not at all and you have to admit the ending was the most stupid ending you've seen in ages, well at least it was for me, and believe me I have seen some real stupid films of late, to my regret.

that's sad to hear.

Do any of you watch "Stella," "The State," Wet Hot American Summer, or The Baxter?

reply

Wet Hot American Summer = GENIUS

My teenage ansgt has a body count

While watching the movie all I could think was "This is totally all Black". It is so much like his style of comedy, which is why I have a soft spot for it. Don't get me wrong, it's a bad movie, but my love for Michael makes me like it.

Also, I feel sorry for you eddiecrabtree24 because you actually put "4" instead of just writing out "for".

reply

I didnt think it was that bad, I laughed so much with the "pregnant" woman on the bus! That was hilarious! But generally, not much happened and the ending was very very corny!
But the microphones randomly bobbing into the shots were really stupid, shows very amaturistic directing and editing! Dont know if I'm the only one who noticed that!..

reply

I thought it was quite a funny movie, it was totally unbelievable and very dumb in places but it had funny moments. In fact i laughed more during this than i did in Knocked Up and Superbad combined yet people seem to think that they were really funny movies while i found them dull.

reply

I was thinking the same thing after I finished watching this.
This was tons funnier.

reply

Definitely. Those were completely overrated. This was surely better than so many recent comedies, like chuck and larry, good luck chuck, etc. Yes, the script was pretty bad in some parts, the characters weren't really developed enough, and the directing was pretty amateurish at times. Many scenes should have been totally scrapped and redone.
But nevertheless this had more originality and imagination than any of those previously mentioned and, well, to put it simply, I laughed more.
Still, this film could've been MUCH better, and I was disappointed with the lost potential.

This is one of the funniest films I've seen in a long time. I actually enjoyed it more than Superbad - and I loved that movie. I'd say this is on a par with Knocked Up.

reply

You have got to be kidding!!
"on par with knocked up"???!!!! WOW!!

reply

Shut up.This movie is one of the best comedy so far in this year.I laughed my ass of many times.

reply

Wow, just wow! What color is the sky on your planet?

reply

Amagicalpig -- If you thought this was funny but not Knocked Up and Superbad you belong in the 80's. Don't expect anything from this century.

This film was incredible. Keep in mind I loved Knocked Up, but I thought this was far better. Totally funny, totally sweet, it had it all. MIB did not disappoint with it. So sad that it was straight to DVD in the states.

reply

It was a terrible film; I didn't laugh once. The acting, the script, it was all awful and completely unbelievable. The only thing that brought a smile to my face was Isla Fisher trying to be sexy in one scene.

reply

I kept waiting for it to get better... but by the time everyone started getting arrested (one of the most idiotic turns in a movie I've ever seen), I realized it wasn't gonna happen. A poor effort that had some good ideas that just weren't realized. D-

Agree with all your comments eddie and that the movie wasn't good at all. Only continued watching it coz of Isla Fisher. This movie was silly, gross and senseless. Just when there was some kind of chemistry between the characters they ruined by putting in something gross for eg: "cock ring joke (not funny at all and gross", Andersons mom and dad getting turned on by the word coming... totally gross.

reply

Stella & Baxter were WAAAY better than this.

I hate how IMDb signatures look like part of the post.

reply

I feel sorry for anyone who is this bad at spelling, and thinks that pretending to have sex with someone who is bending over is amusing.

Before anyone points out that eddie may not be just stupid but may have a more serious problem that makes him unable to form words properly. If he can use a computer he can use a spellcheck.

Apparently you are too young to know what its like dealing with car salesman, ESPECIALLY used car salesman. The whole joke with the cops is that it was as if he was "bending him over" since that's basically what car salesman do to their customers. This movie was enjoyable, lighten up people. This film isn't trying to be serious, or anything near that. I mean take the scene where Joe Pantoliano escapes from jail, come on! If that scene alone doesn't make it obvious that this film doesn't take itself seriously, then you've missed the whole point. During the credits when everyone is taking their fake prison picture its obvious everyone had a fun time working on the film, and I would have been happy to be a part of it.
